The customer journey
Most store visits follow five stages. You influence every one of them.
- Arrive — clean entrance, clear signage, a greeting within the first minute.
- Browse — full shelves, correct price labels, tidy aisles.
- Ask — an employee who is easy to find and knows the range.
- Pay — an accurate, quick transaction.
- Leave — a thank-you and a reason to return.
A typical shift
- Start of shift: clock in, attend the daily briefing, check your assigned zone.
- Trading hours: serve customers, replenish, face up shelves, keep your zone clean and safe.
- End of shift: hand over open tasks, tidy your zone, clock out.
Store standards you own
- Shelves filled and faced up; no empty facings without a stock-out label.
- Every product has a correct, visible price label.
- Aisles clear of boxes, trolleys and spills.
- Customers are served before tasks.
